Cloisonné Stretch Bracelet
Round and oval floral cloisonné beads are separated by pairs of gold satin seed-beads to create this stunning stretch bracelet. Thought to have originated in Mesopotamia about 6000 years ago this ancient technique originally used gold or silver wire to form the shapes and intricately cut gemstones as the inlay. Nowadays the wire is generally brass infilled with glass enamels to create the details.
The cloisonne and seed-beads are threaded onto stretch cord which is tied off with a double surgeon’s knot. The knot is secured with a dab of jewellery glue, then settled inside one of the beads for extra security.
With no clasp, this bracelet may be suitable for people with limited manual dexterity or fine-motor coordination.
An easy to wear style it looks great on its own or stacked with other bracelets for a layered look. What a wonderful bracelet for anyone who loves a little history with their jewellery. It makes a unique and meaningful gift for yourself or someone you love.
This stunning stretch-style bracelet is designed to best fit wrists measuring 14cm. See my blog post on how to find your perfect bracelet size.
