I have collected this from several sources and hope you find it helpful and interesting.

Amethyst

Amethyst has long been called the “sobriety stone.” In ancient Rome, crushed amethyst was added to wine cups to prevent drunkenness. It is said to assist with healing alcoholism, compulsive behaviours, and addictions of all kinds.

Amethyst brings energies of stability, peace, calm, balance, courage, and inner strength. It has been used to protect against psychic attacks.

On the spiritual level, amethyst can help open to communication with angels, telepathy, and other psychic abilities. It is an excellent stone for meditation or dream work, past life work, and can help you see your path. It has also been used to help ease the pain of grief and promote happiness.

Amethyst is reputed to be beneficial when dealing with legal problems, and money issues, which can lead to prosperity and abundance. Amethyst is also used as protection for travellers.

Physically amethyst is said by spiritual healers and mystical lore to heal the withdrawal symptoms of any sort of addiction, help with headaches, insomnia, arthritis, pain relief, circulatory system issues, endocrine system problems, chronic fatigue, immune system deficiencies, and general healing.

Amethyst is associated with the brow and the crown chakras.

Chevron Amethyst

Banded Amethyst

Chevron Amethyst combines the strengthening and enhancing qualities of Quartz with the stress relieving qualities of Amethyst.

Together these minerals create the Chevron Amethyst, which enhances peace of mind, relaxation, and self-discovery. Chevron Amethyst brings courage and inner strength. The stone lessens any resistance to helping oneself, particularly as concerns self-awareness.

It also diminishes addictive tendencies and assists in recovery from addictions.

Chevron Amethyst is associated with the third eye (brow) and crown chakra.

Violet

The metaphysical properties of this colour

Violet colour properties

In this series of posts on the properties of colour I have included an overview of the metaphysical properties and information on some colours and the chakras that they relate to.  I have also included some lessons and affirmations.

Later, in a more in-depth series, I will build on the properties of these colours and how you can use them to your benefit.

Having studied the Aura Soma system of Colour Therapy to the Advanced Level I find the natural benefits of vibrations from colour intriguing and I’m always trying to find out more information on this subject.

Violet

Spirituality, service, transformation, healing and leadership fall under Violet. It is the colour of strong ideals and finding contentment in helping others or providing protection. Sacrifice in the context of peace falls under Violet.

This colour is dignified and has a richness of quality. It has humility and is inspirational, sensitive and delicate. Violet shows respect of self and others.

Violet offers the possibility of letting go of what is lost and honouring what remains.

This colour enhances meditation and helps to show our true service to the world. It is the colour of thinkers and reminds us we have free will while knowing what we are here for and how to fulfil it.

The Lesson for Violet is

"The desire to go home".

People under this colour may have experienced a near death experience or have a fear of death or dying or a wish to return home – to spirit.

This colour can also represent endings – the death of something (divorce, lost job, etc).

Individuals under Violet can feel overlooked / invisible as the colour can be elusive / hard to grab hold of.

Detachment, a need for healing and difficulties with transition fall under this colour. People under Violet may feel they are not always easily understood, have a hidden sadness and are hard on themselves. They may have a need for perfectionism.

Violet can bring out a single-mindedness of purpose or duty but not always serving from love. It can suggest great responsibility / heavy burden and unexpressed anger.

The High Church is represented by this colour as is spiritual pride and grandiosity – it can provide the outer trappings but no essence of spirit or to be so heavenly as to be of no use on earth.

Violet can bring up difficulties with boundaries and with parents. There can be a hidden shame of being different and a difficult of sharing their pain with others.

The need for Violet is

"to be understood"

An affirmation suitable for this colour is

"I have the right to be different".

Of course, this won’t happen just by saying it once off. Each and every time you feel unworthy or stuck in the past, just focus on the affirmation of your choice.

Other affirmations that would be suitable for this colour are “I am good enough” or “I have the right to make mistakes”

This colour connects with

Clothing is another easy way to benefit from the energy of colour.  Violet / Purple isn’t your favourite colour?  Use socks or underwear in this colour as a great way of reminding yourself that you are connected and have confidence – and no-one will know.

If that doesn’t suit you, how about violet sheets (or just a pillowcase) or bathe in bath-salts in this gorgeous colour.

Drinking from a violet glass or eating off a purple plate.   All these things will just hold your attention and remind you that you are on a journey to reconnect.

Star Gazer Collection
A stack of gemstone bracelets

The Solar Bracelets in this picture represent the planets in our solar system and the wearer is the sun. The planets orbit around their wrist. How special is that?

The matte black Onyx of deep space are joined by Citrine (Mercury), Rose Quartz (Venus), Azurite (Earth), Moonstone (Moon), Carnelian (Mars), Amethyst (Jupiter), Pyrite (Saturn), Clear Quartz (Uranus), Fluorite (Neptune) and Cloudy Quartz (Pluto).

In this post I will discuss the stones and planets relationships.

The photo depicts some of the colour differences within the stones, especially Azurite (which can be more green or blue), Fluorite which has different intensities of greens and purple shades and Cloudy Quartz with the different shades of grey.

If you have a preference for one of these options, or would like to use a different stone associated with the planets, please contact me to arrange a custom piece.

Crystal Association

Planet, Crystal and Star Sign Connection

The Sun is the most important aspect of your birth chart as it represents your core being.  When wearing this bracelet, you represent the sun!

The closest planet to the Sun is Mercury, the ruling planet for Gemini and Virgo.  Citrine is a stone often associated with Mercury and provides the properties of intelligence, logic and communication

Venus is considered the planet of love and sits well with the unconditional love associated with Rose Quartz.  The signs of Taurus and Libra are ruled by Venus.

Solar system Star Signs and Planets

Earth and it's Moon

Earth is the next planet in the solar system, and I have chosen Azurite to represent our beautiful blue planet. Azurite can clear confusion and enable you to see and perceive the world clearly.

Moonstone is associated with the Moon which represents the reactive or habit-forming self and Moonstone can help enhance healthy habits.  The Moon is technically not a planet, but it has a huge influence over us.  Just consider the effect it has on the tides.

Crystal Association

Planet, Crystal and Star Sign Connection

Solar system bracelet is part of the Star Gazer Collection

The red planet, Mars is associated Carnelian which can calm excessive energy and enable one to become more assertive.  Mars is the ruler of the sign Aries and traditionally Scorpio was also considered to fall under its rule.

Jupiter is considered the planet of expansion and the ruler of Sagittarius. Pieces was traditionally considered under its rule.  Amethyst is one of the stones associated with Jupiter and can aid right brain activity and help see opportunities and growth

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn while Aquarius traditionally sat under its rule.  Saturn represents structure and lessons in life and Pyrite grounds us and provides clear, practical thinking and enhances practicality.

Uranus rules the sign of Aquarius and is considered the planet of renovation and restructuring.  Clear Quartz is often linked to this planet.  It stimulates brain functions and provides clarity.  Considered a Master Healer it can be used to intensify surrounding energies.

The ruler of the sign Pisces, Neptune represents imagination, mysticism and creativity.  A stone connected to this planet, Fluorite helps us to grasp higher, more abstract concepts and facilitates inter dimensional communications.

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the planer of transformation. Cloudy Quartz can purify negative energy, revive your vitality and give you the strength to regenerate.
