Storm Flower Pressed Glass & Crystal Earrings

The clear glass flower gave rise to this beautiful pair of earrings name, Storm Flower.

These Czech Bohemian pressed flat flower beads are approx. 16mm across and support a centre of a little faceted fire-polished bead in a grey-blue colour of a winter’s day.

Sitting above the main bead is a larger fire-polished glass bead. This beads facets have a beautiful rainbow reflecting lustre to them which pairs nicely with the winter storm theme.

This stunning pair of earrings are approx. 4.0cm long and have a very sweet personality.

Storm flower sounds much nicer than skeleton flower, but it is the effect that rain has on the petals of the Diphylleia Grayi or skeleton flower that was the reason behind the name. The flowers are so delicate and tissue thin that rain seems to melt the colour out of the petals, turning them into windows of clear tissue.
