Bohemian artisans developed tools for press molding allowing them to be more efficient in producing larger quantities at lower costs. The heated glass is drawn and squeezed into the desired shape with the help of a tong that includes a mould at the end.  I have a post showing some of these tools on my blog

A pale grey glass daisy spacer bead gives the design its name Regal Ruffles as this little bead reminds me of the neck ruffs worn by Royals and nobility during Tudor times.

The beautiful moody blue Czech fire-polished glass crystal that sits above this daisy bead has facets that reflect the light while the swirls of different shades of lemon that feature in the larger Czech pressed oval glass bead form a great contrast against the grey tones in the supporting beads.

This cute little design is approx 4.0cm long.
