Winton Boulder Opal Pendant Adjustable Necklace
This stone has beautiful flashes of colour from the Opal matrix in the ironstone host including red, green, blue, purple, and aqua – which sparkle like nature’s own glitter!
This pendant is approx. 52mm x 20mm x 5mm at its largest sections. It has an undulating and unpolished section on the front allowing the boulder texture and pattern to feature.
I have threaded, and hand plaited three strands of brown cotton to form the necklace which is finished with whipping knots above the pendant and to create the adjustable loops. The colour of the waxed cord repeats colours from the host stone.
The necklace length can be easily adjusted from 38cm to 73cm by the sliding knots – these measurements do not include the pendant and lower whipping knot section (see photo collage in gallery).
The Ironstone base of this solid Boulder Opal makes it extremely durable, but please don’t drop it onto a hard surface as impact, extreme fluctuations in heat or extremely low humidity for long periods can damage your opals.
The necklace pictured is handmade by me in Western Australia and ready for collection from Bibra Lake or postage can be arranged.

Other sizes, beads, and styles may be available, contact me for a quote. I can adjust the length of my pieces, but keep in mind, that although shortening them is usually no problem, lengthening depends on the availability of the beads. Custom enquiries are always welcome.
